1. Overview

This Cookie Policy applies to ardentivo.com and should be read with the Privacy Policy. Ardentivo is a static, information-only casino-industry publication. The site does not provide gambling, deposits, accounts, payment processing or personalised casino recommendations.

The current site code does not set HTTP cookies. It uses one local-storage item to remember that a reader has confirmed they are at least 18. There are no advertising cookies, affiliate tracking cookies, analytics identifiers, social-media tracking pixels or cross-site behavioural profiles in this build.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

HTTP cookies

A cookie is a small text value that a website asks a browser to store. Cookies are normally sent back to the relevant domain with later web requests. Some expire when a browser session ends; others remain until a stated expiry time or until the user removes them. Cookies may be first-party, meaning they relate to the site being visited, or third-party, meaning they are associated with another service embedded on the page.

Local storage

Local storage is a browser facility that allows a site to retain a small value on the device. Unlike a cookie, a local-storage value is not automatically attached to every network request. Website JavaScript can read it when the relevant page is loaded. It generally remains until it is removed by the site or cleared through browser settings.

Other technologies

Websites can also use pixels, software-development kits, cache identifiers, device storage, server logs and fingerprinting techniques. Ardentivo does not include tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, session recording or browser fingerprinting in the current public build. Ordinary server request logs are addressed in the Privacy Policy because they are produced by delivery infrastructure rather than stored in the reader's browser.

3. Current storage inventory

The value does not record a name, date of birth, exact age, identity document, casino activity or gambling preference. It remains in the browser and is not transmitted to an Ardentivo database. The age gate is an editorial access measure; it does not verify identity and does not establish that a reader is legally old enough to enter a casino. New Zealand casino gambling areas are restricted to people aged 20 or older.

The item is considered functionally necessary for remembering the reader's choice. If it is unavailable, the publication still works, but the age prompt may appear again.

4. Embedded content and third-party websites

Ardentivo articles may link to regulators, legislation, support services, manufacturers or other sources. A normal link does not place the external page inside Ardentivo. Once a reader follows it, the destination may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies and controls. Ardentivo does not receive those third-party cookie values.

The current build does not embed advertising networks, social-media feeds, video players, interactive maps or third-party comment systems. If embedded services are introduced, they will be reviewed for privacy impact and this policy will be updated before activation. Where required, non-essential technology will remain disabled until a valid choice has been made.

A hosting, content-delivery or security provider may use short-lived, strictly necessary mechanisms at the network edge to route requests or prevent abuse, depending on the eventual production configuration. Such a mechanism would be operational rather than advertising-related. Deployment administrators should verify the live provider configuration and update this inventory if any browser-side identifier is enabled.

5. How to control or remove storage

Most browsers allow a reader to inspect and clear data for a single website or for all websites. The exact labels vary, but controls are commonly found under Privacy, Security, Site settings, Cookies and site data, or Storage. A reader can generally:

• delete stored data for ardentivo.com;
• block all or selected cookies;
• block JavaScript or local storage;
• use a private-browsing window that clears data when the session ends; or
• configure automatic deletion when the browser closes.

Clearing Ardentivo site data removes the age-confirmation preference. The next visit will therefore display the 18+ notice again. Blocking JavaScript may reduce interactive functionality such as filtering, mobile navigation and form feedback, although the editorial text remains available.

“Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control are browser signals intended to communicate a privacy preference. The current Ardentivo build conducts no cross-site advertising or sale of personal information, so there is no behavioural-advertising process for those signals to alter. We will review recognised technical standards if site functionality changes.

6. Consent and future changes

Ardentivo will not silently repurpose the age-confirmation item for analytics or advertising. If non-essential cookies or comparable technologies are proposed, the publication should first:

• identify the provider, exact purpose, data involved and expected duration;
• assess whether the function can operate with less data;
• update the Privacy Policy and this inventory;
• provide a clear choice before activation where required; and
• make refusal as straightforward as acceptance without degrading unrelated editorial access.

The effective date at the top identifies this version. Minor clarifications may be made without advance notice; a material change in browser tracking should be highlighted prominently.

Questions about browser storage or an unexpected Ardentivo cookie can be sent to the privacy contact. Please include the cookie or storage name, the page where it appeared, the approximate time and the browser used. Do not include passwords or unrelated sensitive information.
